About

Page by Page seeks to work with students from humble socioeconomic backgrounds to assist them in their journeys of self exploration, self expression, and emotional growth. In order to carry out this exercise, I will author a set of three curriculums with accompanying workbooks with 4 modules each in collaboration with YouthReach. Each set will be aimed at a select age group, and will focus on cultivating creative writing skills at these different ages. The aim of these resources will be to encourage expressive writing therapeutic exercises that can be taught in a cost effective manner with ease.

Stage ONE targets students between Grades 6-7. These students are capable of basic writing skills, and hence, are made more aware of how to express and organize their ideas better. Emotive expression exercises complemented by creative writing will prepare them for the next stage of learning.

Stage TWO focuses on students between Grades 8-10. Here, students are taught how certain emotions can be expressed using certain specific tones, and every emotion can be brought out with a certain cluster of words. The goal at this stage is to optimize these nuances.

Stage THREE is dedicated to students between Grades 11-12. As this is the final stage of learning, students are motivated to write their own pieces that explore expressive arts therapy, through more advanced exercises. More creative freedom is granted to students to write their own creative and thoughtful pieces.
